We had a great time staying at Highland Lodge for a short one-night stay. The room was clean, with a nice bathroom. The hotel is conveniently located, just off the village center and only 100 meters from the ski bus stop. The pool facility was very nice and clean, and we enjoyed taking a dip. The hotel has a cozy atmosphere, especially with its large lounge area and library where we could relax. The staff were all friendly and spoke English well. We also loved the food, especially the quick and tasty pizza at the restaurant. Breakfast was also a hit with its wide buffet selection. a great place to stay!
Can recommend this hotel.

Easy parking, good food at the on-site al la carte restaurant, Good location if travelling between Oslo and Bergen. As standard in Norway, free internet access. Clean, modern (if basic) facilities. Reception staff helpful
Breakfast was very basic and not particularly good quality. As with most hotels in Norway, pricey for what you get. No room safe (although this seems to be norm in Norway). Our room overlooked the main road. As it was summer, the room was quite hot and we wanted the window open - but this meant we had to put up with some road noise. If possible, ask for a room at the back or side when checking in for a better view and less noise.

Excellent location, close to ski lifts and ski bus stop, great restaurants in the hotel, pool and kid playroom, lovely pool for after ski, stylish and welcoming dining areas.
Didn't dislike anything about the property.

Spent my Christmas break at a hotel in Geilo and had a decent time. The restaurant had some good dishes, especially the local cuisine, which was a welcome treat. The hotel location was good, right in the center of town and close to the ski slopes. The Christmas dinner was delightful, and they had some fun activities for guests.
The breakfast buffet was not fresh and lacked variety. I also felt the hotel was understaffed, and the front desk was difficult to find at times.

We loved staying at this hotel. The hotel's staff was very friendly and helpful, even going beyond expectations during our stay. The cleanliness of the facilities was superb, with plenty of room to relax and unwind in the cozy lounge and library areas. Additionally, the hotel facilities, such as the large swimming pool and sauna, were fantastic.
Nothing for us.

First, I really enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of the hotel. The location was perfect, with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and day trips. The natural beauty of the area added to the overall charm of my weekend stay.
One thing that disappointed me was the lack of attention to detail in the rooms. There were some issues like clothes left in the cupboard and personal hygiene products on display.

Loved spending Christmas at this cozy lodge! Best aspects were the beautiful views and great location to enjoy winter sports activities in the area. The pool and sauna were also a plus for relaxing after a day out in the snow. Enjoyed the delicious and extensive breakfast buffet with local and international options and the cozy lounge area with a fireplace and comfy couches for a relaxing evening.
Disliked the small room size which made it a bit cramped for two people, especially during the holidays with extra luggage. , the lack of a proper restaurant made it difficult to find a variety of dining options, although the pizza served in the evenings was delicious.
